Axiata Group, through its fintech arm Boost, plans to launch digital banking services in partnership with RHB Bank by year-end.
The product offering will include cash deposits, current and savings accounts, credits, insurance, and other financial products.
Axiata is confident in its digital bank, having already issued RM1.5 billion in loans to small and medium enterprises and acquired over 500,000 customers.
The company is preparing its digital banking plans for regulatory approval and has taken steps to ensure a secure IT platform.
