CelcomDigi Bhd has forged a dynamic alliance with global technology powerhouses SoftBank Corp and SC-NEX, a Sumitomo Corporation company. This strategic partnership aims to expedite the digitalisation of Malaysian enterprises by adopting cutting-edge IR4.0 solutions.
Facilitated by CelcomDigi's Innovation Centre, this collaboration with SoftBank and SC-NEX will harness the expertise of both entities in AI, robotics, and analytic solutions. Together, they will delve into co-creating IR4.0 solutions, beginning with the Agritech and Smart City sectors, leveraging CelcomDigi's extensive 4G LTE and 5G network.
In the Agritech domain, the collaboration will explore integrating drone technology with AI and analytic solutions for plantation operations, security, and connectivity. In the Smart City sector, the focus will be on Integrated Building Management Software, IoT Sensors, Access, Security, and Environment Visualisation Control.
SoftBank, renowned for co-creating next-generation social infrastructure solutions, and SC-NEX, a fully-owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation dedicated to accelerating digital transformation services, bring global expertise to this collaboration.
The agreement between CelcomDigi, SoftBank, and SC-NEX was formalized by Idham Nawawi, CEO of CelcomDigi, Kimimasa Kudo, Vice President and Global Business Division Head of SoftBank, and Jun Okawara, CEO of SC-NEX. Minister of Communications Fahmi Fadzil witnessed this tripartite pact.
Idham expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, "This partnership opens many possibilities for Malaysian enterprises to gain faster access to transformative technologies and help them unlock the true potential of their businesses."
Kudo highlighted SoftBank's commitment to promoting digital transformation in Malaysia, bringing expertise in smart building solutions and cutting-edge technologies.
Okawara shared his enthusiasm, saying, "SC-NEX would reinforce this tripartite collaboration to achieve our objective of enriching lives and Malaysian society."
