One of Hilton's most elite luxury hotel brands will finally be making its way to our sunny shores with the announcement that Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts will be opening its first property in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Set for a 2024 debut, the Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur is one of 14 Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts APAC portfolio and joins the brand's existing portfolio of 12 operating and nine pipeline hotels and resorts across Malaysia.
Located within Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle, the property will be within walking distance of the city’s top malls and attractions, including Pavilion Mall and Suria KLCC, and the buzzing epicentre of KL living that is Bukit Bintang's shopping and entertainment district.
The five-star hotel will play host to to 279 suites, each spanning 76sq-m and boasting custom-designed interiors and furnishings, guests can expect the best of luxury experience including five restaurants such as Peacock Alley, the iconic lounge and bar synonymous with the Waldorf Astoria brand, a state-of-the-art wellness centre, 3,390 square meters of meeting spaces and a 1,845 square meter-ballroom.
Construction for the Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur is expected to begin during the third quarter of this year and will be developed and owned by Tradewinds Corporation Berhad and managed by Hilton.
