Porsche is honouring half a century of innovation with an exclusive 911 model named in commemoration of the milestone that pays homage to the mind behind the original 911, Ferdinand Alexander Porsche. Limited to just 750 vehicles, this version takes cues from the 911 Targa 4 GTS and boasts classic checked patterns of the Sport-Tex seat centre panels and the red second hand of the Porsche Design Subsecond clock from the Sport Chrono Package, which is provided as standard.
Buyers can expect headrests embossed with the ‘Porsche Design 50th Anniversary’ logo, which can also be found on the black, brushed aluminium door entry guards’ and exclusive badge on the slats of the rear lid grille. Other special features include a Silver ‘911’ badge with a limited edition number on the dashboard trim and the ‘F.A. Porsche’ signature. The latter is also embossed on the lid of the centre console storage compartment.
As part of the anniversary, Porsche will also be bringing back classic pieces of machinery in the new limited-edition 911 Porsche Design 50th Anniversary Edition Chronograph 1 and Chronograph 1 1972 Limited Edition limited to 500 pieces available for purchase as well. The 50th-anniversary edition is a combination of slick design with its black dial, red second hand, luminescent hour markers and anti-reflective glass for optimal readability with the limited edition number engraved on the case back.
