UEM Sunrise Berhad (UEM Sunrise), one of Malaysia's leading property developers, recently selected joint-venture township in Forest Heights, Seremban as the home of its 12th BukuHub, continuing a long-standing tradition of giving back to the community.
“We are thrilled to open our next BukuHub in Forest Heights. Aligning with one of our CHIEF values, “Fun-loving”, we aspire to create more spaces for activities, especially to cultivate the habit of reading,” said UEM Sunrise Chief Operations Officer (Central) Liong Kok Kit.
“I believe having a mini library of a different sort here will also help bring the community together with the shared hobby, further fostering the spirit of a more inclusive community.”
UEM Sunrise’s first CSR flagship community programme, BukuHub aims foster the habit of reading by creating a living environment where books are widely accessible to the local community.
Housing around 400 publicly-donated books, the latest BukuHub also plays into the township’s efforts to promote a healthy lifestyle in communities within Forest Heights. In addition, the book-filled community centre also intends to inspire integrity among its readers as there are no check-in and check-out counters.
