Warner Chappell Music, the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group, has appointed Ru Ping Gan as the Vice President of Digital, Asia Pacific. Based in Malaysia, she will report to Natalie Madaj, SVP, Global Digital.
In this position, Ru Ping will oversee Warner Chappell Music Asia Pacific’s digital strategy and commercial operations, cultivating key partnerships and advancing business development in the region. In addition to working closely with the global digital and WCM Asia leadership team to help shape international policies that support local songwriters, she will also be responsible for driving digital strategic planning initiatives.

Ru Ping has been a key player in Warner Chappell Asia Pacific. She joined the company in 2013, and was swiftly promoted to become Vice President, Revenue and Deal Strategy, Asia Pacific, in which role she was instrumental in supporting the leadership teams and business with deal analysis, modelling, as well as the terms structure of deals and revenue.
More recently she has played a pivotal role in landing a number of important commercial deals, such as securing projects with Meta, NetEase Music, Spotify, Tencent Music and YouTube.
